COSTUME HIRE CONTRACT

 

Faulty or incomplete outfits: All outfits to be hired should be checked at the time of hiring by the shop staff in the presence of the hirer. Components additional to or missing from the costume's schedule, along with any pre-existing damage will be noted on the hire agreement. The company will endeavour to ensure that all items hired meet a strict standard of cleanliness and repair, and that all outfits are complete. Should any faults or missing articles pass undetected in that check, then a proportional refund of the hire charge will be allowed.

 

Fair wear and tear: Allowance will be made for minor damage and soiling arising from normal use of the hired items and no extra charges will normally be made for cleaning and minor repairs. However this will be solely at the discretion of the salesperson and their decision is final.

 

Fairness: The company undertakes to deal fairly and in a reasonable way in all cases.

 

Return time: Hired items must be returned by five thirty p.m. of the return day stated.

 

Late Returns: The company reserve the right to charge for a full days hire for each day or part thereof on items returned after the stated time.

 

Non Return: Items still not returned four or more days past due will be deemed to have been retained by the customer and be charged for at full replacement cost.

 

Loss and damage: The hirer will be liable for all damage arising from misuse, loss or non return of the hired items. Alterations made by the customer may be considered as damage. Repairs will be charged at cost. Items not returned will be charged for at cost of replacement. The company may make an allowance for the pre-existing condition of items charged for. Likewise the company can if it deems necessary make a charge for hires lost whilst items are under repair or replacements sought.

 

Deposits will be refunded in full only after the hire item has been returned complete and found free of damage when inspected by our staff.

 

Advance booking fee: Advance booking fees can only be accepted against items inspected by the customer and are not refundable, but are of course set against the hire charge.

 

Payments: To settle legitimate charges for damage or non returned items the customer agrees that the company reserves the right to debit the customers credit or charge card as necessary.

 

The period of hire will be deemed to be from the time of the commissioning of the hire contract until all the items hired are returned or their replacement paid for.

 

Suitability: All items hired out are deemed fit only for the purpose of the customer presenting an entertaining appearance and for no other purpose whatsoever

 

Liability: The company shall not be held or responsible or in any way liable for injury, damage or loss, consequential or otherwise, incurred by or caused by the hirer. The hirer shall indemnify the company against all and any claims of whatever nature caused by or arising from the hired items or the use thereof during the period of hire.
